Hello guys,

I need your help, I have an Ipod 5th gen 30gb and well I want to get rid of it, since I dont use it anymore. It still works though, So I opened it from behind and grabbed the Hard drive, it contains delicate personal information so I tried to destroy it. First I ran a magnet over it, its a big magnet like it easily attracked the hard drive and got stucked, i ran it on both sides and left it there for a while, then I forced the hard drive open with a knife (** the screws)
And destroyed the blueish board and dont remember seen a platter I saw a magnetic white tape also wrecked it, I am pretty sure there was no platter. Theres the thing I dont remember there was a platter but I do remember seen those spinners in the middle. So now I am worried lol, what if ignored the platter and now my hard drive its out there. I didnt hammer it Sad I just threw it into the trash like that all opened and destroyed.
Ok so question is, do you guys think its destroyed and my information its safe?
Or should I go poking in the trash lol.

Thank You!!!

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
